aargh - the brain remembers. It is just that I never expect to ever work
on anything that needs it, so the knowledge just goes (somewhere into
the archives of the brain).
Sounds like you need to look at Nortel or Cisco stuff. More likely keep
a lookout for netgear auctions, although I believe the networking
companies are tending to lease such gear and have a policy of trashing
it rather than releasing it. Shame really.
I think I'll just keep dreaming of fibre optic backbone cables with a
real switch - it is more obtainable.
