Any distro is going to cause you grief at one point or another. Does that
mean we shouldn't use Linux?
If someone asks "I can't do X on distro A", ideally any response tells them
how or points them at a how-to or the archives. A response that merely
suggests they stop using the distro they have installed is not helping them.
I am not suggesting that there shouldn't be distro advocacy, but at least
help them with their problem before launching into "But distro B has tool K
which does X".
