Did you have any real reason for saying "Don't use redhat"?

The same configuration tool exists on lots of other distributions
of Linux.  Should the person in question not use any of those either?

Perhaps they should roll their own distribution?  Perhaps everyone
should do that?

Did you consider suggesting that the person just uninstall alchemist
or webmin or whatever was causing the problem?

I didn't think so.
