Subject: Oh well, another bug...

I'm on the Agenda lists, too, and got a bit curious about why all your posts seemed to contain nothing but empty attachments, though others seemed to be able to read them.

It turns out that Outlook Express has _yet another_ annoying bug (Are we surprised?): It thinks your mails are base64 encoded. Not because any headers or MIME directives says so, but because it wrongly mistakes the first line, containing "begin Nick Moffitt quotation:", for a base64 header. Oh, the joys of user friendliness.

This makes OE4 display an empty mail, with a "Nick Moffitt quotation.dat" attachment of a couple of hundred bytes, but as there is no base64 end statement, it fails miserably when trying to extract it from the mail, giving the OE4 user an empty file. The only way to read the mails is to view the source. :)

Just thought you might want to know.

Regards,
/Martin
