I want to run programs on the Linux box, and have them display on the
Windows machine.
The way I've understood things, is that the X server controls the hardware,
and the clients are the xterms and things that connect to the server for

I've always been uncomfortable around splitter boxes. They have their uses,
but I find the software solution more flexible and elegant. Running
applications on three remote machine, and having them all displayed
locally, at the same time, can be very addictive :-)
