No, you have to use golden syrip! We had a farm stay holiday just before
Christmas. Made the damper, made a long snake with it. Rolled it around
the end of a good stick. Finding a good stick is an adventure in itself.
Hint you dont want one with any off shoot on the end, it makes the damper
real hard to pull off, bit like an arrow with a barb on it. A wonderful
time was had by all, especially the farm dog which got all of the left
overs. I had not thought of dunking the kids in the river though, must
remember that one for next time.

Cooking marshmellows is for Americans! Aussies cook damper on a stick!!!
