I strongly suggest that people just see a wireless network as 
	1) online email 24x7,
	2) selected limited newsgroup access 24x7, perhaps, just aus.*
	3) selected files off CD's - e.g. latest CD's of RH, Mandrake, Debby,
etc.

It will work if you are prepared to "go back" to BBS style operations,
but with 24x7 connection. If people start wanting "internet" access,
then it is going to be killed from the start.
