I totally agree with you Jon. I don't think we intend a wireless network like
CSE has it. I'd like a widespanning network with everybody having their own
antenna on the roof. No Internet access no monthly cost. a start-up cost of
200-400 dollars. Internal data sharing and gaming.

I know I have a suse mirror(i386) in my house so I would open that up to the
internal wlan already if I had the chance. I am sure other would provide bsd
and other linux mirrors.

Somebody said the DWL-650 DWL 500 card cannot be fixed up with an external
antenna. I had posted a link earlier in this thread where the instructions for
an antenna were included. It seems possible.
