shortly after this my ip accounting program which is using netfilter to
count bytes somehow made netfilter die and iptables command didn't work
from now on.

I had to reboot to fix the problem.

My advice if you are doing something like this don't get that many rules
get in!!!!!!! Flush the rules out once every day or so.
