You stick to USB hardware instead.
Some "windows only" soundcards actually do have working gameports - my
DMS Classic, which is still a strictly windows only card, has a
gameport that works fine under windows with ordinary analogue
joysticks, but it has troubles with some digital hybrids like the
Microsoft Sidewinder joysticks.
The general moral of this story? don't use the gameport - its not a
reliable standard. Stick to USB joysticks.
