The diversity of distro's in SLUG is a direct reflection of the diversity of distro's used by active members of SLUG. SLUG has no responsibility to any distro's other than those that active members have an interest in. The low profile of RedHat, Novell, Gentoo, Arch etc is a direct result of few active members not having much of an interest in those distros. As you know, SLUG is a volunteer community of enthusiasts, sharing knowledge, experience and lending help to others. The best way to see a greater diversity of distros is for those with an interest in them to become more active in SLUG. Until this happens, there's no point complaining that "my favourite distro is ignored" because you can change that yourself fairly quickly and easily. First SLUG was too Debian, now it's too Ubuntu. You've complained for about a decade that SLUG ignores RedHat. At anytime in that decade and from now into the future, active involvement by RedHat enthusiasts such as yourself could have and still can change that. It's up to the distro enthusiasts to ensure their distro is represented. If you want RedHat at the bootcamp, step up to the plate and volunteer to organise it. You can be the change you want to see. -- Craige McWhirter Managing Director McWhirter [consulting] http://mcwhirter.com.au/ - 0415958783
